FILM DIARY - APRIL 2020

This month's diary is short because, well, we are confined to these four walls and I only had one roll of film at home. During the winter this part of the house barely catches any light, but as the days get longer the sun starts to set on this side, giving us these wonderful golden tones. / O diário deste mês é curtinho porque, bem, estamos confinados a estas quatro paredes e já só tinha um rolo de fotografia em casa. Durante o inverno esta parte da casa mal apanha luz, mas com o alongar dos dias o sol começa a pôr-se desde lado e a brindar-nos com estes tons dourados.

I love the shadow of our French shutters. / Adoro as sombras que as nossas portadas francesas desenham na parede.

Here I am in my isolation uniform, my black silk Pajamas from Truly. / Aqui estou eu no meu uniforme de isolamento, o meu pijama preto de seda da Truly.

For how much longer will he fit in our lap? / Até quando é que ele vai pedir colo?

The day he got to sleep on his grown up bed for the first time. / O dia em que ele dormiu pela primeira vez na sua caminha de crescido.

I guess our garden renovations will have to wait another year. / Por este andar, as remodelações do nosso jardim vão ficar para o ano que vem.

Of course, it is precisely when we have to stay at home that the sun shines in London. / Claro que é justamente quando temos de ficar em casa que faz tempo de verão em Londres.

Martin and I now have a cheeky G&T at the end of the day. / O Martin e eu agora costumamos beber um gin maroto ao final do dia.

By the way, this Villa Ascenti gin is truly amazing, I worked with them a few months ago and since then that’s the only gin we have been buying for the house. / Já agora, este gin, Villa Ascenti, é maravilhoso. Trabalhei com a marca há uns meses e, desde então, temo-lo comprado várias vezes.

Seed to Skin has sent me a few products. I barely have been using make up, I just cover my skin in all the serums, oils and creams. / A Seed to Skin mandou-me alguns produtos. Durante este isolamento não tenho praticamente utilizado maquilhagem, apenas bastantes serums, cremes e óleos faciais.

That golden light again. / Aquela luzinha dourada de novo.

I love our kitchen but I have been spending way too much time in it. I can’t wait to eat at a restaurant again. / Eu adoro a nossa cozinha mas, realmente, tenho passado lá muito tempo e estou desejando poder jantar fora.
